More Birthday Parties!

Okay so. Missy's birthday is July 19th, and Jessica's is August 20. I finally had their parties on September 27th. What can I say? Birthday parties stress me out, so I procrastinate.

I thought about having one big party for both of them, but I'm glad I didn't. 4 year olds and 6 year olds enjoy different things. So I had missy's party in the morning and Jessica's in the afternoon. Worked out great! I decorated once, made one batch of cupcakes, cleaned the house once, and made one big invitation-delivering trip.

We begin with Melissa.

Missy wanted bug cupcakes like Nat, but with pretty colors.

We played musical chairs, duck duck goose, and motor boat.

Missy is still seriously lacking girlfriends! She's still the lone girl with like 8 other boys in her sunbeam class. Luckily she has her cousin Aubrey (although she's still three) and her friend Natalee who's also friends with Jess-- she's 5.

I have to laugh at myself whenever I look at birthday pictures. I always take the same ones. One of cake. One of kid with cake. One of all the kids at the table. One of kid blowing out candles. One present-opening action shot. One of kid with all presents. One of all the kids at the party. And some game playing actions shots. The end.

Jessie wanted a nature party. So we did some nature-y cupcakes

This game is called "don't scare the bunnies." They had to walk on a strip of bubble wrap and try not to pop a single bubble! The girls LOVED this game.
Then we went outside on a little nature hike and collected stuff to make collages

Here they are making their collages-- they used the stuff they collected along with the bugs they found in the first game, which was a bug hunt.

Jessie and her collage!

Backtracking to Jessica's actual birthday, this is the scooter she got!
And we went to arctic circle

And best of all, she got a dress from Grandma Karen's boutique!

Oh, for fun! I love your cupcake decor, they were lovely. I'm really not looking forward to planning friend parties for my kids. I don't like being a hostess.

WAY cute birthday parties!! I'm so impressed, I cheat & GO places for parties, you are such a good Mom to HOST parties!!! I LOVED the games you played. It cracks me up how alike Gwendolyn & Jessica are sometimes (Gwendolyn has an almost identical scotter to the one Jessica got!).

Cute cupcakes! I'm hardly surprised that my boy is the only one NOT looking at the camera for the "say cheese" picture. Fun day!
