Salt Lake

My cousin Pam got married in Salt Lake on Oct.18.  My parents were heading up there so I asked if I could hitch a ride with a couple of my kids.  I took Jess and Missy with me, and the next weekend I had school up in Salt Lake so the other 3 kids got a turn to go with me then.

During the sealing I decided to stay out on temple square with my girls and show them around.  I also took care of my baby nephew Jace.  I can't believe my kids have never seen temple square when we're up in Salt Lake all the time.

Jess and Missy totally appreciated all the sights.  We went through the visitor's center and checked out the assembly hall where we talked to some really cool missionaries from Korea.  We also watched a little bit of an organ recital in the tabernacle.

The girls became instant "friends" (they started beating him up within minutes) with their cousin Ethan who we haven't seen in a while (it always makes me laugh (or sigh) when we have to go somewhere else to see family who live in our own town!  We just take local relatives for granted I guess.

Here's the fountain in front of the conference center.  It was a very quick little tour, it would be so fun to spend a whole day downtown with all my kids, I need to do that soon.

Missy loved the pond at the reception center because it had real lilly pads!

We had such a fun weekend!  I got to see THREE sisters (Jen, Annette and Kimi) and it was so fun to just ride along with my parents and let them take care of us.  And of course it was fun to see Pam and V get married, she sure found a great guy!

I'm so glad you posted this! It was a fun time and so nice that you gave your girls their own little tour. Very good memory pics! You could add Pam to make it more complete :)
