Sept 2018- Feb 2019

I think this "big long post" thing will be my new blogging plan, 

since once again it's been about a year!  

This time we begin with the girls' summer play!  It was The Lion King.  Amanda thought this was completely amazing because it's her all-time favorite movie!

Manda was a blue beetle

Jess was a bird

And Missy was a flamingo!  They had an amazing time as always,

and the production was incredible!

Sept 3rd- For labor day we went to Parowan and watched Melissa march with the marching band in the parade, then went to the fair.

They had one of those ferris wheels with less-tippy-room-for-four-people-cars and even those of us who don't love heights enjoyed it!

Sept 17th- Nat turned 20!

Sept 22nd- We went to deer haven campground for our fall picnic.  It was so pretty!!

Oct 20-22nd- We went on a trip to Flagstaff.  We hung out with Cherise and Bryce at my parents' house and went on a couple of fun outings:

First, Bearizona!  

Then the Grand Canyon! (I'd been feeling pretty ridiculous for never having taken my kids there even though it's an hour away from my parents' house!)

Oct 27th- We went to the pumpkin patch!

And Josh bought his first car!

And we carved pumpkins!

Oct. 31st- The kids are getting so OLD!  

Melissa and Amanda were the only ones who dressed up.

Amanda was a Lioness.  The mask and veil were used in the 

Lion King play and she bought one after it was over!

She also made a lion costume for Jake.

Melissa was Muriel from Fablehaven!

They went trick-or-treating with Manda's bestie, Hannah.

Nov 10th- some Andersons came over!

On Veteran's Day, Melissa's band performed at SUU, and the flutes got to be special!

Nov 17- The girls were in the storybook parade again!  They were Lion King animals!

Amanda was a zebra

And Jess was one of the elephant legs!

Nov 28th- Melissa was in charge of planning Young Women in Excellence- Candyland theme!

Dec 1st- We went to a comedy trivia night at our favorite improv theater.  We formed a team with my friend Susie and her son.  It was so fun!!

Dec 8th was our ward Christmas party.  Amanda was the Angel in the Nativity play.

Dec 13th- Manda's Christmas concert!

Dec 21st- We got a new kitty!  Her name is Basil and we are so in love with her!

Christmas Eve!

In the morning we made ornaments...

Then went and took our traditional sleigh pics

And made gingerbread houses

Then comes opening Christmas jammies and eating our shepherds' dinner while watching a Christmas movie (always Elf or The Santa Clause) before bed!

Dec 30th- We finished the Book of Mormon!  We took President Nelson's challenge to finish it after conference, reading 12 pages a day as a family!  We were so proud!

Jan. 2nd- Josh moved out!  He moved to an apartment!  He's a man! 

Our old kitty and our new kitty loved each other right away.

Jan 12th- Jess was Sleeping Beauty in "Once upon a time"- she's in the pink!

All the pets love Amanda!

And Basil loves tea parties!

Our hamster, Marshmallow Fluffernutter, managed to chew this 

self-portrait in the wall next to her cage!

Feb. 2nd- Amanda was one of the lucky first 11-year-olds to get to do baptisms for the dead!  It took a month for us to find a chance, but all the kids got to go together!
