Happy Birthday Annette!!

Today is my little sister's birthday! Annette, I'm so glad that you were born! You are such a great person, I'm so lucky that we're sisters. I'm so impressed with all of your talents, from acting to singing to exceptionally calm mothering. I love being able to call and chat with you and never feeling like you're too busy for me.


I remember one time I went to St. Louis with my 2 little ones to visit the fam. Annette was a senior in high school, and totally busy and gone all the time. That was the week I realized how cool she was. We were always wanting her to be around, but she was always out being her awesome self. She was doing the last rehearsals for the play she was in, which I got to see and she was AMAZING by the way, and she was also dealing with the ramifications of publishing a rather controversial article for her school paper about not wanting to be required to read questionable material for her lit classes. She would get home late at night and somehow almost every night I was there, we met up in the bathroom and started chatting. We'd stay up talking way too late, but it was so so so fun.
