Then the kids played for a while, then they gathered in the little girls' room to watch a "movie" (aka viewmaster projector slide show). I even let them eat animal crackers while they watched. (in their room! am I a nice mom or what?)
Then they picked out flower seeds and planted them in their pots. It was really fun!
On Saturday it was really warm, so we decided to go for a walk in the park.
I am not a good hat mother. I never remember hats for my kids when we go out in the sun, so I was SO proud that I remembered to grab one for Manda. Also I was pretty amazed that she kept it on.

Our walk was so lovely! It was so nice to be out in the fresh air. We walked for a long time, down a nice path that goes through the park by the riverbed. It ends at a little veterans park, where the kids enjoyed examining the monuments.
Nat and Missy tried out being statues too.
Manda had konked out in the stroller by the time we got back to the playground.
After some muddy swinging, Jason started a snowball fight with the big kids, and Missy and I played hide and seek.
It was a slushy but wonderful day!
