Best. Day. EVER.

This last week was my spring break! The kids were still in school, but on Wednesday we took them out so we could go to Zion canyon. We found out that since Jason's disabled, he can get a lifetime free pass to all the national parks (for him and everyone in his car!) and he's also doing a little bit better lately, so we hope this will be the beginning of many more such outings.

The first trail we tried was Weeping Rock trail. It's really short, but pretty steep. Jason took his two canes, and made it all the way up!

In this one you can see the waterfall we were heading to in the top left corner. Look at all those gray trees, I can't wait to go back when they have leaves!

At first Amanda was freaked out by the steep trail, but she got used to it pretty quick. Our kids are at such perfect ages to enjoy this stuff right now!

Here we are at the top! It gets pretty drippy up there. It would be so fun if you were hot in the summer! I was very happy that someone offered to take a picture of all of us. Looking at this picture makes me so SO happy. We went somewhere! Somewhere cool! And we did something! ALL of us!!

Nat set up this little pose. Hee.

The way down was really slow going for Jason. The kids were patient about it though.

This is the river at the bottom of the trail.

The other trail we tried was called the River Walk. It's long and flat and wheelchair accessible. Perfect! The kids loved playing in the soft sand on the edges of the river.

We saw a little group of mule deer right by the trail, and a bird in the river that reminded Jessie of the Brolga that she did a report on last year.

Nat was so excited to see this pretty green stuff that she wanted a picture of it. I think somebody's ready for spring!

This was my favorite waterfall of the day.

Oh how fun! Jason has been able to do some cool stuff the last couple of weeks. I'm so glad he is feeling a bit better. Good luck jumping back into school this week...

Awesome! What a great family photo! You need to make that one BIG and hang it in your house!

I remember that walk in Zion's from when my Dad took our family one year. It was so nice, even in the middle of summer. Your family looks wonderful!
