Mommy Adventures

I got to take two super fun trips in April and early May.  The first one was so epic.  All the sisters and our mom flew to Richmond Virginia to surprise Kimi for her baby shower.  It was a very quick trip for me.  2 days traveling and 2 days there.  But totally worth it!  The farthest east I'd been before that was St. Louis.  It was very cool to go to such a cool old city!  I loved that there was so much character there!  Sure made Utah look boring. And it was so great to be with everyone!  We've never been able to get together without kids before (only Jana's baby Zach came) and it was so fun to just be girls together!

The first day there we got everyone from the airport and surprised Kimi-- she was floored, it was so great.  Then we helped get ready for the shower, and that evening we all went out to dinner.

I loved seeing Kimi's adorable house and adorable family.  Here's a pic of some of the shower decorations-- Cherise threw the shower and she did SUCH a good job.  Everything was so cute.

After the shower we did what Rowley girls do and made a music video!  We convinced Rob's sister-in-law Sachi to be in it too, and she was a total natural.  I wasn't in it this time, which means I actually enjoy watching it.  I think it's our best yet.

That night we all went to the hotel and watched Austenland!

We also watched the progress of Annette's impressive video editing

and ate a LOT of chocolate.

Check out Jana's Blog for a much more impressive account of our trip.

Two weeks later I left my very patient kids and hubby once again and went to Salt Lake for a work training.  I got to go with my AWESOME friend Jodi and we stayed at the lovely Little America hotel right in downtown Salt Lake.

We didn't have a ton of time for playing around, but we did some fun stuff.  Jodi's an excellent salt lake tour guide.  We rode trax!  We walked around temple square and saw all the gorgeous flowers, and we went to the Joseph Smith Memorial Building

where we went to the tenth floor

to the Garden restaurant for dinner! (spent my entire 3-meal per diem for the dinner there.  Ha!)

Took this pic from the window there.  Yay temple!

It was such a fun little trip!
