Melissa has such a great group of friends this year. Some of them she knew last year, some are new middle school friends, and most of them play the flute.
One day she was telling me about how fun they are, and I suggested invited them all over for a little party. We figured out a good day to do it a couple weeks away, then realized it was the perfect day because it was the night after Missy's favorite day of the year, St. Patrick's Day! She made it a green party, and made little invitations telling her guests to wear as much green as possible and bring something green to eat. They ran around a played and watched The Jungle Book and ate way too much. It was awesome.
And speaking of Missy and St. Patrick's Day, here she is in her green outfit:
She also wore this mustache all day. And she had made an impressive "Beyonders" cake for her book report at school. Best St. Patrick's ever!
